New project aims to reduce emissions and strengthen air quality monitoring in four cantons in Bosnia and Herzegovina
Editorial Team
The World Bank has approved a $50 million loan for an air quality improvement project in four cantons of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH).
The project aims to enhance air quality monitoring and management and reduce air pollutant emissions from the residential heating sector and transport in the Tuzla, Zenica-Doboj, Herzegovina-Neretva, and Sarajevo cantons.
The funds will be used to strengthen air quality management mechanisms and institutions, invest in cleaner heating solutions and energy efficiency in single-family houses, promote low-emission transport in the Sarajevo Canton, and provide project implementation support.
