Updates from ATELIER project about the Republica demo building site in Amsterdam

The demonstration site Republica in Amsterdam is almost finished. ATELIER project gives us some updates on the buildings.

The ATELIER project has shared some updates from the demonstration site "Republica" in Amsterdam which is almost completed. Although Covid-19 had slowed down the building process, the project will be able to finish it just one year later than expected.

The main goal is to transform Amsterdam into a low-carbon, smart positive energy district with mixed uses. Hence new energy efficient buildings are built, renewable energy solutions and smart technologies are installed, and a new energy community will be created.

In the demo site it is possible to see, among others: green roofs, solar panels, smart grids, and use of recycled materials and batteries.
