The VISIBLE project, launched by C40 Cities and supported by Laudes Foundation, aims to promote sustainable construction practices in cities like Oslo, London, and Madrid.

Oslo has made significant strides, implementing emission-free construction machinery, socially responsible procurement, and projects like Sophie’s Minde, which uses zero-emission tools and material reuse

Other key projects, such as Fyrstikkbakken 14 and Løren Sports Hall, emphasise low-carbon materials and environmental innovations.

Oslo’s efforts show the importance of supporting SMEs, engaging workers in decision-making, and fostering material reuse. These initiatives provide a blueprint for other cities seeking a cleaner, fairer construction industry.
