Buildings are major contributors to global energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, highlighting the urgent need for action in combating climate change. However, many developing countries lack the expertise to implement effective energy efficiency standards in construction.

The World Bank's new Global Dataset on Building Energy Efficiency Codes and Standards aims to address this gap. Its launch event will unveil insights and discuss policy challenges for enhancing building energy efficiency regulations worldwide.
