A regional event on "Renewable energy for low-energy buildings in future energy systems" took place in March 2023 to present and summarise the results of the RES4BUILD project, specifically the innovative technologies developed and results of the case studies in Poland.

Particular attention was put on the need to improve energy efficiency renovations in buildings which should took place before the investment in renewable energy sources (RES). Moreover, they emphasised how the barriers to integrated energy systems (IES) are related to financial and socio-organisational environment.

Other discussion with participants included: thermal renovation and IES implementation, joint financing of thermal renovation and RES, technical and economic conditions of heat and energy storage, social and organisation aspects of project implementation.
