The Regional Government of Castilla y León and EREN, the Regional Energy Agency, is supporting consumers in the Region to overcome the energy crisis which is spreading across Europe and the Region. They are running two subsidies programs which respectively promote investments in self-consumption and storage with renewable energy sources and the installation of renewable thermal energy in residential and non-residential sector.

The foreseen measures are aimed to reducing fossil fuels and thus helping consumers with the energy bills. Some of them include:

• Photovoltaic self-consumption installations
• Connection of public buildings to the district heating networks
• The replacement of heating and air-conditioning equipment with renewables
