COOLCRETE Project
COOLCRETE Project
The EIC-funded COOLCRETE project aims to explore the commercial potential of the developed technology by assessing the feasibility of DRCCCs for integration into current cooling and heating technologies.
The MIRACLE project made radiative cooling concretes a reality. Various studies under the project led to new concrete formulations capable of operating at sub-ambient temperatures in sunlight. These daytime radiative cooling cementitious composites (DRCCCs) have the potential to revolutionise modern buildings and urban landscapes.
In this context, the EIC-funded COOLCRETE project aims to identify potential synergies with compression heat pumps and thermal energy storage devices, analyse relevant geo-climatic scenarios, and identify attractive markets and end users for the DRCCC products.
