The SUSTENANCE project, funded by the EU Horizon 2020 programme and the Indian government, is advancing towards creating carbon-neutral energy communities globally. 

Its final phase focuses on replicability, ensuring that the developed solutions can be adapted worldwide. The project has tested integrated energy systems across diverse locations in Europe and India, emphasising technological innovation, economic viability, and social acceptability.

Collaboration with initiatives like CE4EUI and EU BRIDGE, and participation in events such as Enlit Europe, have broadened its impact. 

The project also explores practical applications through demonstration sites, addressing energy challenges in various contexts, from modernising old buildings in Poland to adapting solutions for India's diverse needs.
