The advancement of automation and 3D printing technologies in construction engineering has the potential to greatly enhance the sustainability of the construction sector in Europe. 

In this context, the EU-funded EXEP3D project is dedicated to bolstering the skills and innovation capacity of the Estonian TTK Institute of Civil Engineering in construction engineering, with a particular focus on 3D concrete printing and sustainable mixtures. Its goal is to establish the institute as a leading competence centre in both Estonia and Europe. 

Collaboration with Eindhoven University of Technology and TU Dresden is integral to driving innovation within the industry. Overall, the project will facilitate staff upskilling, foster academia-industry partnerships, and support applied research activities.
