InnovEM project

InnovEM project
The physical infrastructure consists in a detached office unit, fully equipped with a heat pump, solar thermal and photovoltaic panels, thermal and electrochemical storage. The testing of new energy management procedures developed in the frame of the smart living lab would then be possible in real conditions.
Different optimization in energy system management in buildings is possible. The optimization of the greenhouse gas emissions by a new energy management algorithm has been the subject of the Carbon correlation project (2016-2017) lead by BUILDING2050 research group.
The optimization of cost and energy is currently under the scope of the TripleE project (2016-2018). The implementation of these new strategies into a physical demonstrator allows to:
- face the different hardware integration
- test and improve the newly developed energy management systems.
This demonstrator also allows testing the demand side management such as load shift. The project is linked to different research axis of the smart living lab, such as:
- control of active energy systems
- energy networks and economy
- perception of comfort
- interaction with user, behavior.
Start date: 2017
