Renovation of existing buildings is essential for transitioning into a green economy and society. Unfortunately, costs and logistics make this renovation difficult and inefficient with a high impact on residents. The EU-funded INPERSO project offers a solution with different technological developments. On the one hand, advanced prefabricated walls and 3D printing significantly reduces waste, costs and construction time while increasing quality. On the other, highly efficient heating and ventilation are combined with innovative renewable energy solutions to foster resource efficiency during building life. All these solutions are supported by digital technologies to optimise data flow and use. The result is greener, energy-efficient renovation of buildings at affordable prices.
