The ISLET project will work on three pilot islands in Greece, Italy and Croatia to accelerate the decarbonisation process, as the islands do not have some of the barriers that other territories have. 

Thus, the project will work on the design of a model that is applicable to small islands, where the capacity of municipalities to create Renewable Energy Communities (RECs) is increased, the collaboration between citizens and local authorities is encouraged or the information on RECs, the current legislation related to these communities and the existing funding opportunities is improved.
