BARRIO aims to address the fragmentation of renovation interventions by aggregating demand at the neighbourhood level, developing supply business models, and rolling out industrialised prefabricated solutions for deep renovation towards a decarbonised building stock. 

The DMT effectively tackles the multiple challenges of large-scale renovation projects by clustering buildings for renovation and aggregating demand stakeholders so that their needs/challenges will be mapped and interventions prioritised.
