NEBourhoods project

NEBourhoods project
Munich-Neuperlach is the biggest post-war urban expansion area of former West Germany. To prepare Neuperlach for the future, the City of Munich combines urban regeneration measures and an integrated urban development plan for the district’s green and social transformation.
The EU-funded NEBourhoods project is one of six lighthouse demonstrators of the New European Bauhaus (NEB) initiative.
The consortium brings together actors from the urban innovation ecosystem: public sector, research and innovation, and society. Two processes – co-creation based on cross-innovation with the cultural and creative sector, and entrepreneurship – will help to implement 10 NEB actions tackling various challenges of urban development towards the European Green Deal: this will transform Neuperlach into a breeding ground for sustainable, inclusive and enriching urban life.
