One Stop Shop (OSS) Project
One Stop Shop (OSS) Project
Building renovation, energy performance improvements as well as the transition from fossil fuels to RES requires motivating homeowners to change their habits so as to balance demand with a limited energy supply and to accept new technologies.
One Stop Shop (OSS) models, however, are still not widely implemented across Europe. Moreover, the typical “building renovator” is male, middle aged and with a higher in-come whereas the participation of lower-income households or social groups vulnerable to fuel poverty is un-common. The rebound effect and insufficient use of supporting schemes are additional problems (eg the Programme New green savings in Czech Republic attracts the typical “building renovators”).
Finally, the households often renovate buildings in long period, using own financial resources and local unprofessional handyman's.
