The EU-funded REMIND project will seek to draw inspiration from indigenous Mayan urbanisation techniques in an attempt to improve urban planning and design in the Merida region (Mexico). This area has been affected by rapid urbanisation that is unsustainable, so the REMIND project will recover spatial patterns that can benefit sustainable urban development.
