The construction industry accounts for approximately 40 % of global CO2 emissions, necessitating a shift towards more sustainable practices.
The EIC-funded SCENE-B project addresses this challenge by developing additive manufacturing (AM) concrete reinforced with aluminium fibres, supporting the New European Bauhaus initiative. Focusing on design, fabrication, and materials, SCENE-B integrates advanced material design with a digital toolkit, including a digital twin, to optimise production processes.
