Extending the iBRoad Building Renovation Passport II

Report on potential indicators to expand the scope of iBRoad.
Marianna Papaglastra

Building on the report 'Experience from other projects — Report on linking Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) with the Building Renovation Passport (BRP)', this report describes how to implement a selection of indicators in iBRoad2EPC technically.

The main objective is to evaluate if existing indicators or features can be implemented, considering necessary adjustments and adaptations to the project requirement and providing the basis for IT implementation. This is supported by a SWOT and feasibility analysis.

The following indicators are further exploited:

  • Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) and in particular the CARP methodology spreadsheet tool developed by the X-tendo project.

  • Smart Readiness Indicator (SRI) and in particular the existing EC spreadsheet tool for method A.

  • Measured energy performance (MEPI) and in particular the ready-to-use spreadsheet developed in the X-tendo project.

  • Renovation advice. Here the iBRoad2EPC project developed its own country-specific database of renovation advice, following the stepwise and deep principles as conceptualised in the iBRoad project and enhanced with EC’s and national long-term decarbonisation and climate targets and MEPs.

  • Digital building logbooks: A key potential of iBRoad2EPC is the possibility of linking it to the logbook developed within the iBRoad project. In parallel, the potential of linking iBRoad2EPC to any Digital Building Logbook proposed by the EC in the future remains and could be investigated accordingly.
