New European Bauhaus Manifesto

ACE Manifesto highlights the key role of architects and calls them to take their place in the NEB movement.
Editorial Team

The New European Bauhaus (NEB), launched in September 2020 as part of the Renovation Wave strategy, aims to create experimental spaces blending art, culture, science, and technology for sustainable, inclusive, and beautiful living spaces. The initiative challenges architects to engage civil society in design and aligns with EU and national authorities' emphasis on architectural quality.

NEB highlights the importance of holistic approaches, inter-professional cooperation, and public-private collaboration in reshaping the urban environment. It calls for a paradigm shift in governance, promoting integrative practices guided by the Baukultur concept. Prioritising quality in planning, design, and construction processes is crucial for the well-being of current and future generations.
