Stakeholder approach for deep retrofit

30 September 2024
A recent publication from the INFINITE project highlights the importance of stakeholder involvement in driving industrialised deep renovation of old buildings.
Editorial Team

The paper, authored by researchers from the Valencia Institute of Building, explores how demand-side mapping and decision-making tools can streamline deep retrofits.

With the Delphi Method, expert opinions can be gathered from designers, developers, and investors to identify key factors for installing industrial renovation kits. A GIS-based market map also connects technology providers with building owners, offering tailored renovation solutions across Europe. Additionally, the project presents a decision-making tool that assesses building suitability for renovation kits based on parameters like typology and location. The paper also outlines specific INFINITE Archetypes, which simplify the application of these kits across various European building types.
