The circular economy is incomplete due to its fragmented business ecosystem, which complicates circular product design and servitisation. 

This paper examines collaborations among companies in designing and servicing building facades, using data from the 'Envelope for Service' project. It introduces a research framework to align circular practices with the facade’s lifecycle and emphasises the need for collaborative efforts across the business ecosystem. 

The study highlights the critical role of industry-wide engagement and suggests that digital technologies are crucial for advancing circular practices in this sector.
