The Global Atlas for Renewable Energy is an online platform developed by the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) to provide policymakers and investors with access to renewable energy resource maps worldwide. 

It aims to bridge the gap between countries with and without the necessary data and expertise for evaluating renewable energy potential. 

Over 50 international research institutions have contributed over 2000 maps covering solar, wind, bioenergy, geothermal, and marine energy, making it a comprehensive resource for decision-makers and investors.
