The European Heat Pump Association (EHPA) has developed a "Heat Pump tool" which allows to calculate the costs of electricity of heat pumps and compare it with other sources of heat, such as gas boilers, electric boilers or solid fuel boilers.

The tool has multiple calculation parameters, such as the type of heat pump, electricity tariffs, ventilation operation period, climatological data, etc. In particular, it is possible to choose the single or double (day or night) tariff for electrical power and assess the cost savings.
