STEP training materials on energy poverty

Online training modules in 9 languages are available, as part of the STEP project, targeting frontline workers wishing to advise people to better control their energy bills and get out of energy poverty.

 

These training modules include:

 

  • Basic knowledge about the energy sector and national energy policy context
  • How to identify consumers in energy poverty
  • National support schemes for energy poverty, and their accessibility
  • How to identity and access financial instruments for energy renovation
  • Energy efficiency tips for home dwellers
  • How energy contracts and consumer rights impact consumers in energy poverty

The training is available in Bulgarian, Czech, Eglish, Greek, Latvian, Lithuanian, Polish, Portuguese and Slovakian. The choice to have all these languages available is for frontline workers in those countries, who are used to advising people on a range of issues such as financial or health issues, to access training on energy poverty issues.
