Ambition requires action: mutual recognition agreements and the upskilling transformation

This event will present a project that is the perfect example of the work towards skills development and recognition for high-quality HP installation in buildings. HP4All Project aims to analyse the barriers across the HP value chain segments to accurately identify measures, actions and solutions to up-skill the value chain while also driving demand from end-users.

"Ambition requires action: The Heat Pump Accelerator for RepowerEU" Heat Pump Forum & Award 2022 puts heat pumps at the centre of the green, digital, cost-effective energy transition and industrial transformation.

The European Commission’s REPowerEU plan builds on ambitious heat pump targets requiring around 20 million heat pumps to be installed in the EU by 2026 and nearly 60 million by 2030. Expanding the use of heat pumps is crucial for reducing the use of fossil gas in heating and cooling for homes, buildings and industry.

The HP market is predicted to double by 2023 across Europe but, while significant efforts have been placed on up-skilling within the construction sector, there has been limited specific focus on the HPs market and its value chain specifically.

Given that HPs will transition to becoming a critical component of low energy and nearly zero energy buildings into the future, the need to ensure skills and knowledge on both the supply and demand sides is vital.
