It is becoming increasingly obvious that while technological and digital progress are essential for the built environment’s energy transition, the occupants’ role and well-being as well as long-term circular planning need to take on a greater role both in academic and applied projects for maximum impact and sustainability. As a catalyst for interdisciplinary exchange, the international scientific conference CISBAT 2025 will link these areas and encourage lively, forward looking debates.

Over three days, CISBAT will feature high-level keynotes, thematic sessions, workshops and technical visits. The core of the conference will take place on the EPFL Campus in Lausanne over Days 1 & 2. On Day 3, CISBAT will organise topical visits both in Lausanne and Fribourg. An evening event will allow networking among participants who attend in person. To allow active remote attendance and networking, CISBAT will use a professional hybrid conference platform.
