BUILD UP is pleased to announce its upcoming online event, 'Supporting the EPBD implementation: Challenges and solutions from policy to practice', taking place on 30 September 2025.

Join leading voices from the European Commission, Member States, and key organisations for a dynamic 90-minute session exploring how the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) is being translated into practice across the EU. From policy guidance to practical implementation and market readiness, this event will cover critical aspects of the transition to a more energy-efficient and sustainable building stock.

What’s on the agenda?

The event opens with two keynotes presentations:

  • An EU-level perspective from a representative of DG ENERGY, European Commission, outlining the Commission’s vision for EPBD implementation and the supporting funding streams.
  • A national perspective from a Member State representative, sharing practical challenges and emerging good practices in EPBD implementation.

Following the keynotes, a panel discussion will bring together diverse expert insights, moderated by Andrei Vladimir Litiu, Executive Director of the EPB Centre and BUILD UP partner. Panellists include:

Gain a deeper understanding of how the EPBD is being put into action across Europe, learn from Member State experiences, engage with EU institutions and building sector leaders, and take the chance to participate actively by posing your questions to the experts.
