BUILD UP is hosting a webinar organised by the CREATORS project on ‘Empowering Energy Communities: Celebrating the Achievements of the CREATORS Project’.  

CREATORS, a Horizon 2020 EU-funded initiative coordinated by CORDEEL and supported by 16 partners from across Europe, has aimed to accelerate the integration of Community Energy Systems (CES) across Europe. The project's primary focus has been on assisting local initiators throughout the entire lifecycle of CES projects with a set of tools and services and bringing the CES-as-a-service model to market. By fostering collaboration among energy, engineering, construction, software, and modelling firms, as well as site owners and public promoters, CREATORS has developed a robust CES software suite ready for market deployment. Our efforts have not only accelerated CES integration across Europe but also enhanced commercial readiness.

Reflecting on our accomplishments, the CREATORS project proudly supported 20 pilot projects (one Tier 1, six Tier 2 and ten Tier 3) in different ways, and tested parts of the tools and services part of CES-as-a-service methodology. This innovative approach has empowered consumers and prosumers, facilitated the initiation, planning, implementation, and operation of Community Energy Systems, and laid the foundation for sustainable business models based on verifiable technical and financial data.
