To mark the 35th anniversary of its creation, the European Builders Confederation (EBC) is carrying out a forward-looking study entitled 'EU micro companies in the construction sector: Rising to the 2040 climate challenge', conducted in collaboration with the Belgian consultancy Climact. The study explores how micro construction companies and craft businesses can evolve by 2040 in the face of the sector’s green transition. It will examine key trends affecting skills, jobs, and business models for micro-enterprises across Europe.

Held under the theme 'Small Construction Companies, Big Local Impact: A 2040 Vision for Construction SMEs and Crafts,' the conference will unveil the study’s main findings and spark dialogue between policymakers, construction stakeholders and SME representatives.
