Cedefop, Eurofound, EU-OSHA, the ETF and ELA in partnership with the European Parliament and the European Commission.

As engaged actors in the European Year of Skills, the European Parliament together with the five EU Agencies under the remit of DGEMPL will share their insights and discuss with MEPs and policy makers the challenges and opportunities involved in addressing skills shortages in the EU workforce necessary to promoting the EU’s development and competitiveness.

Skills and ‘the right to quality and inclusive education, training and life-long learning’ is principle number 1 of the European Pillar of Social Rights.

What skills are needed now, what are the gaps, where are the shortages, and what will be needed tomorrow? What initiatives can be successful in anticipating future skills needs?

Together with Members of the European Parliament and the European Commission CedefopEurofoundEU-OSHA, the ETF and ELA will discuss with key stakeholders the challenges and opportunities involved in tackling labour and skills shortages.
