The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) is utilising 3D printing technology to advance sustainable development in Colombia. They have acquired the Crane WASP 3D printer from Italy’s WASP, which can print with local materials like clay and soil.
This adaptable and energy-efficient machine will help build facilities and services in remote areas of Colombia. This initiative aligns with WASP’s goal of enhancing sustainability and housing equality.
Similar technology is also being explored in other regions, such as Australia, for addressing resource inequality.
