An 'All-stars' team to drive affordability and sustainability of homes for the local community

A group of college students nicknamed 'All-Stars' is set to collaborate with local communities on Cape Cod to tackle issues of affordable, sustainable, and climate-resilient housing.

Organized by the Massachusetts Housing and Climate Innovation Center (HCIC), in partnership with local organizations like the Cape Cod Climate Change Collaborative, the initiative aims to address the region's housing shortage while considering climate change impacts.

The students, hailing from various universities with diverse backgrounds, will work on projects such as designing tiny home communities or repurposing buildings for affordable housing. Urgency for such solutions stems from the area's vulnerability to climate change-induced storms and environmental challenges.
