Conry Tech, an ultra-efficient heating and cooling start-up, has announced field trials for its innovative air conditioning technology, designed to drastically reduce energy use and emissions. The trials will take place at the University of New South Wales and in Melbourne.

The company raised $8.7 million in funding, with Bandera Capital and Pacific Channel leading the pre-seed round. Conry Tech's technology, called Bull Ant, aims to cut energy consumption and emissions in commercial buildings by 40%, using decentralised micro chillers.

The company plans to install these units in Australian commercial spaces next year, with potential expansion depending on further funding.
