Researchers in the UK have noticed that 30% of jobs could be eradicated by automation by 2030. For the construction industry specifically this means losing more than half a million jobs. Moreover, workers have a digital skills gap which hamper the technological changes in the sector. To fill these skill gaps, construction companies have to find ways to upskill their workforce.
For the construction industry, workers need to adapt quite quickly in order for the industry to keep up with the demand from the labour market. A strong engagement and change of mindset is needed.
