Building performance boost with Glasgow's digital twins

University of Glasgow uses digital twins to enhance energy performance and improve building efficiency
Editorial Team

The University of Glasgow, in collaboration with IES and HLM Architects, has developed digital twins of three buildings to assess and improve their energy performance.

These digital twins, created through calibrated compliance models, provide accurate predictions of operational performance and enable repurposing of existing models. By incorporating real-time data and analyzing different scenarios, the digital twins identify opportunities for energy savings and carbon emissions reduction.
