13 August 2024

Editorial Team

The European Energy Efficiency Financing Coalition has opened its first call for financial institutions to join.

This coalition, involving the European Commission, EU Member States, and financial institutions, aims to foster a market conducive to energy efficiency investments and boost private funding to meet the EU's 2030 and 2050 energy and climate goals. It supports EU countries in implementing the Energy Efficiency Directive and the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive.

Members can engage in the General Assembly, an EU-level expert platform, and national hubs, with activities starting in autumn 2024 and detailed work beginning in early 2025.

Membership applications are open until 30 September 2024, with more details on the Coalition's website. A call for other relevant entities will follow later.
