Calls for the LIFE programme 2025

The LIFE programme, the EU's funding instrument for environment and climate action, is gearing up for its 2025 calls for proposals, set to be published on 24 April.

Managed by the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA), this programme is supported by a substantial budget of €5.4 billion and encompasses four key sub-programmes:

  • Nature and biodiversity

  • Circular economy and quality of life

  • Climate change mitigation and adaptation

  • Clean energy transition

Prospective applicants are encouraged to seek assistance from their respective National Contact Points (NCPs), who can provide guidance throughout the application process and facilitate dedicated workshops.

In addition, networking opportunities will be available through one-to-one virtual meetings, which may be arranged between 13 May and 30 September 2025 via the same platform. Applicants wishing to schedule bilateral discussions with NCP representatives must specify the thematic area and subject of their proposal in the meeting request, which is subject to approval. This approach is designed to promote collaboration and ensure that applicants receive the necessary support and guidance.
