CIRCULARB webinar series

Editorial Team

Facing the increasing concerns about the negative environmental impacts of buildings, governments and general society worldwide have been seeking more efficient and sustainable constructions. Hence, the Circular Economy (CE) emerged as a new paradigm of innovative practice with potential application to the construction industry besides other economic sectors.

The Circular B Action aims to develop a common circularity framework for inclusive application and assessment in new and existing buildings to support decision-making for all value chain stakeholders and appraise the implementation level of the European Circular Economy Action Plan (ECEAP).

To facilitate this and foster CE knowledge exchange among stakeholders from different COST regions, the COST Action 21103 (Circular B)  presents Implementation of Circular Economy in the Built Environment through a Stakeholder webinar series. Stakeholder webinars are also an opportunity for the users of the e-learning platform to expand their horizons by learning from practitioners, policy shapers, and academia. Over six virtual interactive sessions, we will explore how academia, international organizations, public authorities, and businesses can support implementation of circular economy in the built environment and contribute to broader sustainable development goals by raising awareness and educating the public. The webinars aim to encompass various perspectives from value chain stakeholders covering areas such as:

  • Policy recommendations and initiatives

  • Business ideas and models

  • Innovative research and projects

  • Introduction of new circular products

  • Showcase of pilot cases and best practices

  • Examples of circular value chain management
