Citizen Hubs to promote and raise awareness on energy renovation

Citizen Hubs, or one-stop-shops, are important to raise awareness about energy efficiency renovations among citizens and thus they have the practical role to apply the EU policies and initiatives at the local level.

Energy efficient homes represent the solution to high energy prices and can provide healthy and comfortable living environments. Hence, it is pivotal to renovate existing buildings. Many EU policies and initiatives, such as the European Green Deal, the Renovation Wave, the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive, aim at regulating this process.

Citizen Hubs, or One-Stop-Shops, have the important role to raise awareness and promote about energy renovations at the local level. In particular, they:

  • raise awareness to local population about the befits of renovations
  • provide practical guidance on renovation
  • access financing schemes
  • connect customers with qualified contractors.
