Aarhus-based SolarLab secured a €1.6 million loan from Nefco, the Nordic Green Bank, to boost production of customised solar facades for buildings.

The funding will help SolarLab relocate manufacturing to Denmark, establish a solar panel lamination line, and open a US sales office.

Specialising in building-integrated photovoltaics, SolarLab replaces traditional facade materials with solar panels, generating renewable energy on-site.

The move supports growing demand for energy-efficient solutions, particularly in EU and the US. SolarLab’s innovations reduce land use for solar parks and contribute to carbon-neutral buildings

The relocation will reduce the company’s carbon footprint and improve production flexibility.
