Digital Building Logbooks to support building decarbonisation

Editorial Team

The new EU-funded Demo-BLog project has just kicked off in Delft (Neatherlands). The main aim of the project is to unlock the potential of Digital Building Logbooks (DBLs) to decarbonise the European building stock.

To date, there is a lack of common repositories of building data and this has contributed to additional costs, inefficiencies, increased risk and lower investor confidence. DBLs have the potential to tackle these issues and pave the way towards a climate-neutral building stock. The project aims to establish DBLs as a central tool to monitor and evaluate progress of climate and energy transition actions at the local level.
