In Burgas, Bulgaria, residents can invest 511 € to 5.110 € in a municipal solar power plant on the Park Arena OZK swimming pool as part of a citizen energy community

The 421 kW facility will consist of 956 panels and four inverters, costing 209.000€.

Investors will receive a 30% total dividend over ten years, with a return of 13% annually, surpassing typical bank interest rates. The project minimises risk, as the municipality will purchase the generated energy

Over 80% of the energy will power the sports centre, with excess sold. Similar projects are emerging in other Bulgarian municipalities.
