The Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) plays a crucial role in Europe’s transition towards low-carbon and energy-efficient buildings. However, its implementation raises important questions regarding housing affordability, renovation strategies, and policy effectiveness. That is why AISFOR, in collaboration with Ecoserveis Cultura Energètica and the Institute for European Energy and Climate Policy (IEECP), with the support of C40 Cities, has created this survey that aims to gather perspectives from industry experts, public officials, and researchers to evaluate how EPBD-related policies are shaping the future of building sustainability.
Participants will provide valuable insights into barriers to energy renovation, the effectiveness of financial incentives, and the social impact of EPBD policies. The survey also explores how energy performance improvements can contribute to more inclusive and accessible housing systems, ensuring that sustainability efforts align with broader social and economic objectives.
The survey takes approximately 10 minutes to complete, and responses will directly influence policy development and strategic planning for building decarbonisation in Europe.
