Events of interest for the BUILD UP community during the EUSEW 2022
The European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) brings together public authorities, private companies, projects, NGOs and consumers to promote initiatives to save energy and move towards renewables for clean, secure and efficient energies. The BUILD UP portal will be there too!
The 2022 edition of EUSEW will take place in a hybrid format: both participants and speakers will be able to participate online or onsite in Brussels.
During EUSEW there will be many building-related conferences, which will address this topic from different perspectives, for example "Enabling digital and social innovation for the renovation wave", "Positive energy neighbourhoods for Europe's fair, effective and resilient energy transition", "Greening buildings (and cities) in the Med Region: a roadmap for action at a local level", "Skills for the twin green and digital transition", "Fast track to affordable, secure and sustainable energy: the Green Deal to boost RES and efficiency" or "Fast track to affordable, secure and sustainable energy: the Green Deal to boost RES and efficiency".

Leveraging digitalisation and construction skills towards 2030 energy goals
Hosted by BUILD UP portal, this EUSEW session proposed by ACE-CAE will revolve around the evaluation of the construction market and identified needs for digitalisation and enhanced skills to achieve 2030 energy efficiency goals, from the experience of 9 EU founded projects.
This event will take place the 21st September 2022 from 12.00H to 13.30H CET.
Keynote speech on REPowerEU
The REPowerEU plan sets an ambitious target to reduce Europe’s dependence on fossil fuels in the face of the double threats of Russian aggression and the climate crisis. Mechthild Wörsdörfer, Deputy Director-General for Energy, will outline the context and key goals of the initiative, and how combined measures including energy savings, diversification of energy supplies, and the accelerated roll-out of renewable energy will make this plan a reality.
This event will take place the 27th September 2022 from 9.00H to 9.30H CET.
Energy System Efficiency for a cost-effective decarbonisation and energy resilience
The Russian invasion of Ukraine has exacerbated an already looming energy price crisis, stressing the urgent need to achieve a more efficient and decarbonised energy system. The focus of this session is to discuss and demonstrate, through the contribution of concrete examples, how an energy system efficiency approach can contribute to the energy transition and to the phase-out of fossil fuels while increasing energy security and creating economic, social and environmental benefits for citizens and businesses.
This event will take place the 28th September 2022 from 11.30H to 13.00H CET.
Stay tuned so you don't miss anything!
