Free advices and tools for local energy planning
Aalborg University reveals district heating and cooling (H&C) as a key solution for a fossil-free Europe, potentially saving 24 billion cubic meters of gas by supplying 20% of the EU's heat demand through district H&C. However, not all municipalities are prepared for this transition.
The EU-funded Act!onHeat project, featuring the H&C Support Facility, aims to assist local energy planners in strategic H&C planning for affordable, secure, and sustainable energy. The facility, launched in March 2022, provides tools, resources, and exclusive access to planning software, guiding energy planners across Europe with services like tendering guidelines and data management support.
