German associations calling their government to improve building renovation rates

The joint letter written by various associations warns the German government about the slow rate of buildings´ renovation. Without a proper renovation of buildings, it will not be possible to reduce energy consumption and thus to achieve energy transition.
Hence, the associations call for a launch of a climate stimulus pack for the German building stock which involves the refurbishment of all private and public buildings. This can be implemented through a combination of funding programs, regulatory law, advice, private financing and an adjustment of tenancy law.
