The built environment significantly impacts global sustainability, contributing 27% of greenhouse gas emissions, 30% of energy use, and 25% of water consumption

The Global Lighthouse Network (GLN), launched in 2019, showcases top-performing sites in sustainability. It recently focused on the built environment, recognizing companies like Holcim, Schneider Electric, and Interface for their circularity solutions

New Sustainability Lighthouses include Novelis in Uhrichsville, US, Nucor in Sedalia, US, and Ferrovia in London, UK. These sites have reduced emissions, waste, and resource consumption through innovative technologies, serving as examples for other organisations to adopt sustainable practices.
