In response to escalating climate challenges faced by Greek cities, including energy poverty and heat waves, ICLEI Europe, with Google.org's support, introduces the ICLEI Action Fund Greece. The initiative aims to empower Greek cities in combating climate change through data-driven, sustainable projects. With a focus on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and enhancing climate resilience, the fund offers up to 275,000€ to civil society organizations, research institutions, and academia in various Greek cities.

Projects should align with climate and sustainability plans, emphasising key urban sustainability areas like mobility, energy efficiency, solar energy, air quality, and climate adaptation. The initiative mirrors EU strategies for climate neutrality and adaptation, fostering collaborations for a greener future in Greece and Europe.
