Installation of new heat pumps in Saravejo approved

A 50 million project to introduce large heat pumps in the district heating system

The Balkan Green Energy News reports that the Government of Sarajevo Canton has given the green light to a EUR 50 million project aimed at introducing large heat pumps in the district heating system.

This initiative, in partnership with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), aims to reduce air pollution and fossil fuel usage in the city. The project includes the installation of two 18 MW heat pumps in Butile and modernisation of substations.
