Les Matérialistes is a short film that blends documentary and sci-fi elements to envision the 2050 circular economy in construction

Created by Architecture Without Borders Quebec and partners, it explores future professions and the life cycle of materials to advocate for a shift in how we value and repurpose materials. It tackles the issue of construction waste by reimagining cities as 'circular mines.'

Featuring inputs from 25 stakeholders through a futurism workshop, it offers a captivating, visual alternative to traditional reports, promoting new participatory and hybrid approaches to foster societal change and accelerate circular economy adoption.
